Hi my name is Tammy, I am the creator of The Flamingo Lady Shack. For the last 26yrs my day, (I use that term loosely) has been as a registered nurse. I have worked in med-surg, OB, ER, and now long term care. I have traveled and worked with amazing people, but my true love has always been drawing, painting, DIY projects, and trying new craft ideas. I like trying out new products, especially first time projects.I have a busy life so I usually only get to dabble at night and weekends when I have time, but every moment I look at things with the, “What could I make out of that!” Attitude. I am not a throw away type of person, I as my kids would say am a hoarder of all things LOL. I live to upcycle, recycle, and repurpose!! I am always painting or crafting and giving to family and friends because it makes me happy. Recently to support my ever expanding craft hoarding habit I opened a Etsy shop, FlamingoLadyShack ,due the encouragement of my family. Remember it’s new and I am adding items as I go!
Because arts/crafts make me happy, when we moved out onto a farm, my husband spent a lot of time converting an old garage to my happy place, my Craft Shack! It’s not perfect, but its perfect for me! What more could a crafter want, but space, heat, internet, TV, and plug ins !! LOL!
I have always loved anything and everything arts and crafts related. I love crafting in my, “Craft Shack.” It brings me joy sharing my love of arts and crafts with my kids and grandkids.
